NEIGHBOUR
performance with live stream from the neighbourhood
What do we really know about the people living just across the hall or over the fence?
In the performance NEIGHBOUR, we zoom in on something we all have at home but rarely address directly on stage at the theatre: our neighbours.
In this unconventional production, three performers leave the theatre space and step directly into the community, visiting actual neighbours around the venue. From a central “mission control room,” audiences follow the performers live as they navigate real-life encounters using only smartphones and selfie sticks. Their mission? To gently draw out everyday stories—through intercoms, garden gates, and unexpected conversations.
NEIGHBOUR weaves these moments into a living, breathing portrait of the neighbourhood, revealing how people arrange their lives side by side. With warmth and curiosity, the performance highlights the ways we manage to create meaningful neighbourly relationships, even in the face of conflict and difference.
The performance is currently presented in Danish, but we plan to develop an international touring version in the near future.
