POP PERFORMANCE FESTIVAL
New Festival for Children and Young Audiences during the Autumn Break
Ages 4 and up
October 8–19, 2025 at Krudttønden, Anemonen, The King’s Garden, and Øbro Jagtvej Library
POP PERFORMANCE FESTIVAL is a new initiative and collaboration between three theatres: PUBLIC PERFORMANCE, Anemonen, and Teater Hund. These three theatres have joined forces to present a festival where children and their adults can experience performances, interactive installations, and audio walks together.
The festival aims to give audiences the opportunity to experience a wide range of performances and highlight the great diversity within the genre of ‘performance’.
POP PERFORMANCE FESTIVAL 2025 is a pilot project for what we hope will become a recurring event, where children from Copenhagen and the surrounding areas can spend their autumn break enjoying immersive performance experiences. We aim to bring together some of the creative forces working with alternative performing arts formats for children and create a platform that is both challenging and entertaining for young audiences, while also serving as a source of inspiration within the industry.
